About AMPS:
The Aotearoa Music Producer Series (AMPS) has been running since 2017 and was designed to up-skill Aotearoa’s music production sector. AMPS has attracted the participation of many formidable international producers including: Andrew Scheps, Sylvia Massy, Gil Norton, David Wrench, Anna Laverty, Romesh Dodangoda, Dave Eringa, Guy Massey, James K Lewis and Mark Rankin.

About AMPS: The Session
The five-day recording session is intended to prepare producers for all aspects of the recording process. The first meeting of producer, engineer and artist will be on day one and start with listening to the guest artist demos, choosing the song to track along with discussion and planning of the recording methods. Tracking will continue throughout the week with deep dives into song structures, instrument, mic and format choices, with all aspects played out in real time. The session will culminate with mixing of the song with time set aside to discuss and critique the work of the chosen attendees.

All producers and engineers in attendance are encouraged to exchange ideas and discuss decisions.
