The Queens of Fire are bringing you a powerhouse night of music at Dead Witch Friday, August 30th, with the talents of:
Odessa: A blend of upbeat alternative indie/rock pop, Odessa will be teasing you with tracks that will feature on her soon to be released album
Amelia Kae-Ryder: An innovative artist blending reggae, rap, and hip-hop. With unique rhythms and powerful lyrics, she creates music that resonates with listeners.
Vanessa Tottle: Trip Hop Singer Songwriter and music producer, Vanessa Tottle joins this stellar line up to give you some hypnotic earworms, delivered with the smooth velvet vocals. Downtempo beats that are set to take you to another dimension!
Vox Venus: Vox Venus is a celestial synthpop duo from Tāmaki Makaurau, formed by the galactic collision of songwriter and synth star Hetha Joy (AceTones) and drum wizard Hannah de Kosta (Albi and The Wolves, Boom Boom Deluxe). The duo create songs from the inner realms of outer space, with dream inspired hooks and introspective lyrics that weave together magic and science. Channelling influences from the vast universes of free jazz, punk, indie, and funk, and fusing them in a synthpop alchemy, Vox Venus is what it would sound like if Sun Ra and the Eurythmics had a space child.
Scarlett Lashes: Not afraid to crack the satirical whip with her audience, Scarlett Lashes is straight up filthy, funny, and confusingly sexy. With patriarchy-crushing electro-pop tunes and hilariously dirty tales, prepare yourself for an in-your-face, genre-bending mix of performance art, comedy, and banging beats from Auckland’s most spectacular “trash pop” queen.
