This summer, trip hop artist Vanessa Tottle will embark on a three-show tour starting in Auckland on 21 February to promote her debut album Take Control. Originally, the tour was just Vanessa and Hyde93x taking their art on a “get-to-know-us” tour, but it has since grown to include other amazing artists Vanessa has met in the music scene. Vanessa grew up in South Auckland, dreaming of being on stage, and that dream came true when she stepped onto an open mic stage in August 2023. Since then, she has performed not only in New Zealand but also in Los Angeles. These three shows are a way for Vanessa to show her followers and new fans that dreams do come true and that celebrating others’ successes is just as important as your own.

The support acts for the Auckland show at Dead Witch were personally chosen by Vanessa. Hyde93x is a multifaceted musical powerhouse based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Scarlett Lashes, also known as Women About Sound Music Production guru, is a self-produced artist from Tāmaki Makaurau. MxDicey, also known as Marissa Holder, is a powerhouse vocalist who incorporates alternative dance music, R&B, indie, folk, and soca into their solo set. Huia, known for her strong presence and influence in electronic sounds, will also be joining the lineup.

On 1 March, Vanessa, Hyde93x, Scarlett Lashes, and local talent Seven will be performing at Nivara Lounge in Hamilton. Seven is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter and music producer with an R&B flavor that is sure to get you up and moving.

The final show of the tour will be in Napier on 15 March at The Cabana. Hyde93x, Scarlett Lashes, and support acts from Wellington, including Emma Kate and local talent Christina Gunson, will be accompanying Vanessa. Emma Kate is an independent artist from Wellington who fuses pop, pop-rock, and singer-songwriter sounds in her music. Christina Gunson, a mother of three from rural Hawke’s Bay, plays acoustic guitar and sings indie, country, rock, and folk music.
