Vic Vega Releases his New Surprise Concept Album 2000: The Beginning of a New Era

2000: The Beginning of a New Era is a surprise concept album released by the 25 year old rapper and actor Vic Vega, exploring his favorite genres like G-funk and Conscious rap which is a follow-up to his previous 2024 rap album A Thin Line Between Life & Death.
It is loosely a concept album about Lennox talking to his imaginery friend where he’s reminiscing about the good times he had in his childhood and the reasons why everything started falling apart.
This album contains party music such as ‘U Gotta Git Yo Money Rite’, ‘Drinking Champagne, Counting Money & Puffing on Cuban Cigars’ and ‘I Remember’ taking back the true essence of G-funk and Hyphy. Vega also dedicates a song called ‘Living in a Cruel World’ to all the people who fell victim to drug addiction, suicide, gun and family violence, making it one of his most personal songs in his 5 year career since 2020.
With only 10 songs on the album, this is not the only album Vic Vega has finalized. Vega himself has actually finished another new double album which is expected to be releasing on February 2nd 2026, intending to be a sequel to this 2000 album.
