Wellington’s rock quartet Wet Denim are back and ready to rock with new single ‘Living Room’ out now.
The track takes the band confidently into their next chapter, embracing their rock influences more than ever and the maturing of their sound. “‘Living Room’ is a deep dive into themes of routine and monotony, through the lens of complacency. This song shines a light on the feelings of loss and hopelessness when these routines no longer provides any sense of fulfilment or purpose; an important thing to highlight in today’s world, through a medium everyone can connect with”
Produced with songwriter, producer and guitarist out of Drax Project, Ben O’Leary, ‘Living Room’ carries their familiar indie-leaning sheen with catchy melody lines and emotive lyrics whilst leaning decisively into their rock foundations with propulsive rhythm and big guitars.
Since forming in 2022, the band, made up of Nick Goodwin, Luca Crampton, Jack and Joe Ledword have built a reputation as one of New Zealand’s most exciting live bands, with an infectious energy and charisma on stage. Earlier projects On The Line (2024) and their self-titled EP (2022) earned them growing radio attention, notably including Australia’s iconic Triple J, and a loyal following across Aotearoa. This has taken them far and wide across many stages in NZ and further afield, including a tour of Australia, a four week residency in Melbourne, three headline tours of New Zealand, multiple festival appearances, and support for Highly Suspect, Blindspott, The Vanns, The Grogans, Bootleg Rascal, Teenage Dads, The Rions and The Rubens.
Now in 2026, fans can expect to see more of Wet Denim, kicking off their new chapter playing at Jim Beam Homegrown in Hamilton tomorrow.
