Womb Release New Single ‘Angels’ + Announce ‘One Is Always Heading Somewhere’ NZ/AU Tour Dates

Sibling trio Womb have released ‘Angels,’ the third single from their upcoming third album One Is Always Heading Somewhere, to be released on March 14th. The album will be available digitally and on clear vinyl LP via Flying Nun Records.

‘Angels’ is the first song the band wrote for the new album, with the chorus echoing the themes of their previous record: “I was dreaming about the future / I forgot about the present.” Written during the pandemic, Cello began the lyrics while battling Covid, and Haz shaped much of the song’s sonic texture while living in a cottage in Whanganui. Georgette recorded the drums with Bevan Smith at Circle Blue Studios, where the band also recorded their second album.

The song explores the tension between reality and dreams, capturing the feeling of coming back down to earth. The accompanying music video was created by visual artist Angel C. Fitzgerald.

In addition to their new single, Womb is excited to announce the One Is Always Heading Somewhere album tour, with special guest appearances at each show. The following NZ and AUS tour dates have been confirmed:
