Rapidly rising country star Zac Griffith is hitting the road this winter for his first ever headline tour, playing Country Sundays at The Church in Christchurch on Sunday 28 June, Auckland’s Big Fan on Thursday 2 July and his hometown of Nelson at Theatre Royal on Saturday 4 July. The tour celebrates the release of Zac’s debut EP Where I Belong, released last Friday.
The announcement comes off a string of career milestones for Zac. Recent single ‘Sunday Sober’ reached the Top 10 on the New Zealand Country Airplay Chart and debuted in the Top 40 on Australian Country Radio, while standout appearances at the All Country Australia Showcase and CMC Rocks Queensland have further cemented his reputation as a rising talent to watch.
Where I Belong captures the experiences, relationships and moments that have defined Griffith’s journey so far, balancing stories from life on the road with the deep connection he maintains to his rural hometown roots.
“Each of these songs represents those two very different sides of my life, and the emotions that come with trying to stay connected to both worlds” says Griffith.
Leading the release is new single ‘Don’t Let Me Go’, a heartfelt track inspired by the realities of touring and spending long stretches away from loved ones.
Now fans get the chance to experience these songs live for the first time this Winter in Christchurch, Auckland and Nelson. Tickets are on sale now for Auckland and Nelson.
